OpenClash Subscription Import Failed

When OpenClash fails, do not change operating modes first. Separate subscription, core, DNS, logs and router network checks.

Reading tip

Identify the scenario first, then follow the checks in order. Jump to the linked download, subscription or configuration page when the issue becomes specific.

Common Symptoms

  • Subscription update times out or shows 403, 404 or format errors.
  • The profile imports but the node list is empty.
  • OpenClash shows start failed, missing core or unusual core version messages.
  • After enabling OpenClash, the router or LAN devices cannot browse normally.

Recommended Check Order

  1. Disable OpenClash first and confirm the router itself can reach the internet.
  2. Copy the subscription URL back to the browser or provider dashboard and verify plan status.
  3. Confirm the provider gives a Clash or Mihomo-compatible format.
  4. Check whether the OpenClash core download is complete and matches the device architecture.
  5. Read the first meaningful error in the log, not only the final status line.
  6. Temporarily disable Fake-IP, TUN, bypass rules and script options until a minimal setup works.

Do Not Start With These

  • Do not add DNS, TUN, scripts and rule providers while basic connectivity is broken.
  • Do not paste a private subscription URL into an unknown public conversion website.
  • Do not reset firewall or router settings until you know how to restore them.

Next Step

If the format is incompatible, read subscription conversion and Sub-Store. If DNS or Fake-IP causes the failure, read the DNS troubleshooting guide.
