What Proxy Mode means
Proxy Mode here refers to manually selecting a proxy node or policy group for a specific workflow. It is useful when you know the region, node or group that should handle the traffic.
Compared with Rule Mode, it gives you more manual control but less automatic separation. If the selected node has a problem, traffic depending on it should be checked after you choose another node.
When to use Proxy Mode
This mode is common for streaming, account-region testing or cases where a provider offers specialized nodes for a known purpose.
Usage notes
Before changing modes, confirm that the subscription profile has updated successfully and that the selected policy group contains at least one usable node.
Recommended use
- Use a manual select group when you need predictable routing.
- Change the selected node if latency rises or a region becomes unavailable.
- Do not confuse manual proxy selection with full Global routing.
